The motto for New Hampshire is “Live Free or Die”, their state flag has the State Seal on it, and the state’s nickname is “The Granite State”. New Hampshire is located in the northeastern portion of the United States and it was the 9th state to be admitted into the Union. It was one of the first states in the original 13 stated in the United States. The state is also the first to write their own state constitution. They are also the only state, which does not charge their citizens general sales tax and personal income tax. The capital of New Hampshire is Concord and the largest city in the state is Manchester. The population of the state is 1,235,786. The state was admitted into the Union on June 21, 1788. They broke off their connections to Great Britain in January, 1776.
